The best ad analytics tools for ecommerce brands in 2026

Search for an ad analytics tool and you will find a dozen platforms that all claim to solve the same problem. They do not. Some are tracking layers built for advertisers spending millions a year. Some are Shopify analytics suites. Some are simply dashboards that put your existing numbers in one place. Here is the honest version of what each one is for, so you can stop comparing tools that are not competing at all.

Start with the question that actually matters

Before looking at any tool, answer one question: is your problem accuracy or clarity? If you cannot agree with your ad platforms about how many sales your ads drove — even after accounting for iOS tracking gaps — you have an accuracy problem, and you need a deep attribution platform. If you can see the numbers but they live in six different dashboards and adding them up takes two hours a week, you have a clarity problem, and an attribution platform is a very expensive way to solve it.

AdPulse — best for brands that want clarity without enterprise pricing

AdPulse is our own tool, so weigh that as you read. It connects Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, X and LinkedIn and pulls spend, ROAS, CPA, CTR and conversions into a single dashboard, calculated automatically in your own currency. There is no pixel to install and no ecommerce platform requirement, so it works whether you sell on Shopify, WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix or your own site.

The honest limitation: AdPulse is not an attribution modelling platform. It reports what your ad platforms tell it, brought into one place and made readable. If you need server-side, long-window multi-touch attribution to settle a debate about which channel created a customer, AdPulse is not that tool. It costs from £29 a month, which is the point — it is priced for brands that want clear answers, not a data science project.

Hyros — best for high-spend direct response

Hyros is a server-side attribution platform built for advertisers who treat attribution as mission-critical infrastructure. It tracks long windows and multiple touchpoints, which matters enormously if your sale lands days or weeks after the first click — coaching, information products, high-ticket services and complex upsell funnels. Paid-traffic plans start at roughly $230 a month billed annually (around $379 monthly) and scale with tracked revenue.

The honest limitation: cost relative to value. If you spend under $25,000 a month on ads, the economics rarely work, and for a single Shopify store with a clean pixel setup the depth is more than you will use. Hyros makes sense when attribution accuracy directly changes how a large budget gets allocated.

Triple Whale — best for Shopify DTC brands

Triple Whale is built specifically for Shopify DTC brands. Its pixel-based multi-touch attribution closes much of the gap iOS left behind, its creative analytics tie ad performance to real store revenue, and its AI agent answers performance questions in plain English. Entry tiers sit around $149 to $219 a month depending on store GMV, rising to roughly $499 at higher tiers.

The honest limitation: it assumes Shopify and it assumes volume. Pricing is banded by GMV, so the value case gets weaker for smaller stores, and if you sell on another platform or your own site, this is not the tool for you.

Northbeam — best for mid-market and enterprise

Northbeam is marketing intelligence for mid-market and enterprise ecommerce, with sophisticated multi-touch attribution, integration beyond Shopify and advanced data exports. Published pricing starts around $999 a month. At that spend level, a five-figure annual tool is a rounding error against the media budget it protects, and the modelling is genuinely worth having.

The honest limitation: it is priced and built for a different company to most. If your total ad budget is £5,000 a month, Northbeam's entry price alone would be a fifth of your entire media spend.

What no tool on this list replaces

None of these platforms replace knowing your own numbers. Before you pay for anything, you should be able to say what a customer is worth to you over their lifetime, what margin you keep, and therefore what your maximum profitable cost per acquisition is. Two of those three are free to work out, and without them every ROAS figure you read is meaningless — a 5x ROAS on a 10% margin loses money.

How to choose in five minutes

If you spend more than $25,000 a month on ads and your funnels are long or complex: Hyros. If you are a Shopify DTC brand spending $15,000 or more a month and you want attribution plus creative analytics: Triple Whale. If you are a mid-market or enterprise brand with a team to use modelled data: Northbeam. If you run an ecommerce brand, small agency or solo ad account and you want to see where your money is going across every platform without enterprise pricing: AdPulse, from £29 a month, live in minutes.
